as a great fan of Joy Division and Control (Anton Corbijn) i was glad to see Sam Riley as another british "vintage" character!
admirable Helen Mirren played, as usual, terrific and Andrea Riseborough, who i didn't know before, delivered a brilliant performance as an unsatisfied, shy young woman, obsessed with the idea of great love, danger and escape: obsessed with the idea of living.
beneath great actors convinces with great pictures, epic scenes and an authentic but aesthetic view of Brighton in the 1960's
the movie made me think about doing a trip to Brighton in june (and made my wish to go back to the 60's more intensive)
